I have a back up madden 2004 tdk dvd that was scratched. I tried to repair it with a repair kit and now it wont even load. I know the kit is good because I use it on my music cds. I thought maybe its the dvd brand I am using has anybody repaired a disk if so what brand did you repair

I personally dont bother with repairing backup discs...
DVD-r's are so cheap now, I just make another backup... TylerDurden may be able to give you some advice, since he repairs some of his discs... |

I dont know what kind of kit you own but. If the scratches are not all that deep then using Car polish and a soft cloth will fix them.
On some harder to repair scratches use a Disc Doctor either cd or dvd (their both basically the same) then polish off the fine scratches made by the Disc Doctor to make your disc look new again. Tyler!

I recently used a carwax buffer with a touch of Turtle car wax and was able to get out some slightly deeper scratches than the normal wear and tear scatches and worked out great. just thought i would pass this along incase any of you have a moderately scatched cd. It turned out like brand new.
Can be a little tricky to hold on to while buffing though so be careful when attempting this method.
