GBA loudness mod

The folks at http://www.abhq.com have what they are calling a loudness mod which will make the GBA 3 times louder. Has anyone had this done to their console or know how they are doing it. I would like to do this mod myself if some one knows how. As 90% of the fun for me is doing the work myself.And it doesnt seam that they are selling what ever it is they are installing to the console by its self ... or maybe its just something they are tweeking. Any ideas anyone

I dont want to add speaker. I would just like to make the internal speaker louder and when you ask why I ask why not. Then again I dont expect you to understand soooo.... any one know how they are doing this or how I might be able to.

all they do is change the speaker to one that gives more output

Now now, ladys. Lets not get all huffy. Trust me you dont want me to settle things for ya.

Spedmetal, are you sure you would want to do that to your GBA? Well because if you do you will shorten the batteries life. I know when I installed my afterburner I got less life outta my batteries.

About your question on what it is, its probably some sort of amp that pumps up your speakers volume.

I do like the blue led thingy though.

AXmichigan, no I don't have anything against you. You just kept asking me why I would want to do this and I thought I explained that I just like to tinker and this sounded like a cool thing to try if anyone knew how to do it. Tyler thank you for that. I kinda thought it was some kind of amp as well. I also have the after burner and yes it does drain the battery faster if the speaker thing does that's ok I have 4 extra rechargeable GBA battery packs ready and waiting all the time hehehe. Any way I like to listen to the TV loud when I'm playing PS2 games and I would like the GBA to be louder as well. Sorry is I stepped on your toes AXmichigan.

Na... But I might look into seeing if some IC chip might be able to amplify a audio signal slightly. Like I said 90% of the fun for me is doing the work.
