Championship Manager 4/ Help?????

I just downloaded CM4, I unrared it and everything is fine, it's version 4.0 and I tried to update. I downloaded update 1 and when I run it it says that the game is not installed??? Is it something to do with the registry?? Any help would be much appreciated
