What time takes a backup / DiVX

I'm planning to get me a PS 2 (PAL) with Neo 2.2 + DVD Region X.

1. I was wondering how long it takes to make a backup of a PS2 game with a) clone cd b) cdrwin and which was the better way?

2. And what about these games on DVD, let's say a game is bigger than the max. available 700 MB on a CD, is it possible to split such games on several cds?

3. When I make me a backup of a a.) pal game b) ntsc game, will my console play it in b&w?

4. Bit off topic though, but will my ps2 or any dvd-player be able to play my DiVX movies?

5. Is there anything else I should know before I buy the PS 2, maybe wait for a better chip or expect any problems that might occur?

Thx in advance

1 time taken to back up 20 mins to 2hours(read speed on fly or image burn speed )
i suggest u use cdwriter to read and burn
cdrwin better if u have to patch game clone better 1/1 copy both r ok

2 best way to do dvd is to rip out the fmv and sound its harder to do but tutorials on web it can b done

3 it may play it b/w high quality scart lead sorts it normally or a ntsc-pal box availabe at maplins (i think check with charlie) or mine has colour sorted inside ps2 done when chipped www.kanection.co.uk or .com u have to check

4 no convert to vcd(quality is nearly same )i just stated vcd have many divx but pc only
standalone dvd plays vcd very well
i think ps2 can do it but it need something to boot it i seen french instructions but i search for english info
5 im sure u have few problems but we will sort them im sure
