Magic 3.1 installation help

Hey, I bought a Magic 3.1 a few days ago and was planning on installing it but I have 2 problems... actually 1 problem and 1 question the problem is I have a V4 PS2 and I dunno how the hell to tell if it has a gap or not if anyone has a link to a pic that shows what it is please post. And the question is if anyone has experience on soldering do you think I should use heatsink on the chips or should it be fine if I just take my time on it? Oh, And actually one more thing I read somewhere that with Magic 3 you should use 28 gauge wire or thicker for everything except the GND and +5v of which you use 22 AWG (21 SWG) wire and thoughts?

V4 gap/no gap this is the bios chip on your ps2 (where the MNOP connections go)
heat sink on the modchip is not necessary........do note that the installation process is complicated and you can mess-up your ps2 easily
32-30 awg is recomended for data
24-22 awg is recomended for ground and power
28 awg for data should work fine, just be a bit more careful on the bios chip since it's a little thicker than 30 awg.
