Perfect copy of Sudden Strike 2?

How to make perfect copy of Sudden Strike 2 (original) cd?

Id more like to know of a way how to make it into ISO, IMG, or some other format, so that I could play with the editor without cd (there is a no cd crack for the game itself, but not for the editor update)

WHat Id like to do, is to create a duplicate of my cd, and then

a) write that duplicate into a new cd.
b) run it directly as virtual cd file

Either of those options would be nice, any help?
