xbox reboots when starting a b/u game

Why does my xbox reboot when I want to play a certain B/U game?
Some work some don't.... do I have to apply a patch, and if so where do I get it and how do I apply it?

I'm using MATRIX modchip . One game at the top of my head not working is: HULK

Hello, I am having the same problem. It is the new games that have the media check. I am still not sure have to patch files though. I believe I have an xbox that has bios EVOX D6, and evox x 1.8.328 . Not exactly sure because I bought the xbox premodded. Not intentionally I might add, just ended up that way, and I had no complaints. Can some one explain a good program to use to patch files and where I might look to get that program, or just give me a link to a guide or somwething. Alll help is greatly appreciated.

This is the bios on my MAtrix: X2_v1_256K.bin

I think it is the new games only because I have 15 other games that work great!

petechy, I just solved the problem for myself tonight. It is because all new games have a protection built into them now, due to the xbox mods being on the scene for a while now. The way to get the game working is to patch the default.xbe file in the root directory of the game. This can be done with a program called isocraxtion. It is really a great program that allows easy patching, and also allows the creation of a multi game disc. Where more then one game is on a disc, and it boots up fine. Hope this helps. I had to go on a file sharing program to find the isocraxtion program. If you need any help finding the program just write me at matthewwright161**********com

iso craxtion is the best programme available for patching xbox games.

also as it was not created using the stolen xdk and they now use a home made ximage programme. instead of the stolen ms version it should be ok to post the link here. www.craxtion.com
