Im gonna buy a DC. But with or without MultiX chip???

I'm planing to order a DC from a webpage, and they have a machine with a MultiX chip, and a cheaper machine without it.
Do I need this MultiX chip.. Or is the BootCD good enough ? Will I be able to play copied games without the BootCD if I have a MultiX chip, like the Playstation ???
What would you do ? Buy it with a MultiX chip, or without it (witch is a bit cheaper)..???
Please help me..? I am totally new it this DC scene....

Well I would say that for the most part you don't need a mod chip. The boot cd works great. I've been using it for a while now and it's fine. In fact games are now being made that are self booting and don't require the boot disc at all. The only thing I don't know is if newer model dc's are designed not to work with the boot disc (the black ones that say sega sports).
