PS-2 Backup TUTORIAL TROUBLE !*!*!
I've just got a v4 ( i think ! it's a UK SCPH 35003 ) and I've never copied a ps2 game before.
I've tried to copy Extreme G Racing, this is how - Reading options on cdr-win set to : - Raw/CD-TEXT/MCN - ALL uncheked Error Recovery - Ignore Jitter Correction - disable subcode Analysis - Auto and its a disc/cue image i'm making. Okay Reading the 'Spoonfed Burning Tutuorial by BJohnson, I convert it from a .bin to a .iso using all the exact settings 2352 - 2048 etc BUT its when I come to using ISO buster and Addzer0 that I get a little bit lost ! I understand there is the system.cnf in the wrong LBA Address, but what address do i put into the Addzer0 Application to put the .cnf file in the right place ???? With AddZero I know I have the output.iso file to convert but where does the input.iso come from ? Its not the extreme-G.bin is it ? Help I'm lost ?

MESKALIN WROTE (in part) with my answers inserted:
--------------------------------------------------------------- I've tried to copy Extreme G Racing, this is how - Reading options on cdr-win set to : - Raw/CD-TEXT/MCN - ALL uncheked **** THIS IS WRONG. CHECK RAW **** Error Recovery - Ignore **** THIS IS WRONG. CHOOSE ABORT **** Jitter Correction - disable subcode Analysis - Auto and its a disc/cue image i'm making. --------------------------------------------------------------- The rest of Meskalin's post is a mystery to me. CDRWin produces a BIN file which you can patch with PPF-O-MATIC. Then you burn it back to CD-R with CDRWin. There's an EA Patch to apply too. So what's all this ISO to BIN stuff you're into? |

Thanks for the advice Dal. I'm just about to chip up my new UK Version V4 PS2 . Um just wondering what chip to get. I know there are new chips on the market soon NEO V4 And MESSIAH but I dunno if I can be arsed to wait for these. And I'm thinking now that V2.2 NEO is the chip to go for !
Only have GT3 at the minute, And I aint buying Originals at £45 a peice while I wait for a new mod chip. Copy It up till we have a scene like we had on the A500 Hey Sony can take it more than Commodore could !!! Laughs Friggin multinational corporations snatching a slice of the console Market I HOPE MICROSOFTS X-BOX IS THE BIGGEST FLOP SINCE THE JAGUAR ! THEY DONT DESERVE ANY SHARE OF THE CONSOLE MARKET !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!SCUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!SCUM!!!!!!!!!!!!! SCUM!!!!!!!!!SCUM!

Hi,
Pleased you found the info usefull. if your not worried about the NEO4 then get yourself a NEO2.5 chip it only needs 5 wires soldiered and has a few extra features to the NEO2.2 mod. Dont 4get to pick yourself up a REGION X for your boot cd, is the quickest on the market. check out www.playstationmods.com and order your chip!! PS the Amiga days were something special wish i still had mine!!! goodluck Dal |
