Alcohol 120% problems

I've been trying to backup some PS2 games for a while now, but it always gives me this alert when I try to use the 'playstation 2' format:


not only that, but it won't even recognize that there's a DVD-R in there, after that step... it puts up the window asking for disc, so I put one it, it gets scanned okay, but just sits there showing "empty disc" ..

Silly question perhaps, but you are trying to back up a DVD based game to the DVD-R disc...

Considering the image is well over 800M, I would hope it would be DVD-based... I've tried it with Wild Arms3, GTA:VC, and now Grandia-X.
