Age Of Empires 2 CD Check...

Hello...recently me and my friend have wanted to play Age Of Empires over the internet...
we both have the origianal game...but it just wont start...it says:
You have to have a CD to play...
wich i do...and he does...
So we figured here we need a crack....but it just wasn't that easy...
We have tried every crack there is for v.2.0a but nothing helps...
What shall we do?...

If someone knows...please reply...
