Look i am really new to this forum, and i don't kno what has been posted before also i don't know anything about the x-box so plz answer my questions patiently
when ever u see the username cool_dude_2000 u will kno my question will be a bit or maybe very dumb i sk for ur patience now, i heard about the Evox and i heard it should be installed on the X-box Hdd along with the chip. Well in a tutorial it said improper installation of the Evox may permenantly damage the X-box but can i install the chip and make a Evox boot disc and launch the Evox directly from the disc instead of installing the Evox on the Hdd. If yes are there any harmful effects agian if yes what are they and how can i save the x-box. if it is possible to do this are there any disadvantages. thankz in advance |

Welcome to the forum.
Nobody expects you to have memorized everything ever on here, that's why we have the button called "search" on every page on the forum toolbar. It can be your best friend so don't be afraid of it. Your information is correct so far but I would say whenever you modify mass produced electronics you are ALWAYS risking something going wrong and making a paper weight. The Evox development team obviously doesn't have the resources that MS does and Xbox is designed to play as is. Personally, I believe the risks are minimal because there is so much info available and the software for the scene is generally very good but if you are so scared to touch it then leave it to a pro or just plain leave it alone.

Welcome Cool_Dude
You are lucky because this place has some of the friendliest helpfull people I have ever come across. Between RMS2001 and Quall999 they have never that I have seen not helped someone or made them feel as if your asking a stupid question.
I just finished modding my XBox and have never before soldered or used any programs like ftp. Today I feel as though I am a pro As far as I would say that is a disclaimer just warning you of the a risk you take. I have not known anyone who has messed up there hdd beacuse of evox. Not putting it in your hard drive would drive me nuts having to boot it up and its a pain as you must turn it on put in the disk let it load turn it off and turn it back on. Its much easier to just turn on your XBox and it goes to evox and from there go back to the MSDASHBOARD
