The Gamecube sees the release of the new Gameboy Player for the Gamecube which adds a massive amount of games to the Gamecube Console, using this adapter you can now play Gameboy, Gameboy Colour and Gameboy Advance games on your Gamecube in full screen. Heres the news from Lik Sang

The Game Boy Player is a device for the GameCube console that enables gamers to play the whole library of Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance games on the console, using a GameCube controller or a GBA system plugged into the control port to control the on-screen action.

The unit is placed under your GameCube console and comes with a start-up disc. Gameboy, Gameboy Color and Gameboy Advance games can be plugged in at the front of the unit and games can be played on the TV screen. The built-in menu allows changing several settings, like the brightness and size of the picture, as well as filter to make the display quality better can be applied. The Joypad buttons can be reconfigured, so that the button mapping matches your expectations.

The Gameboy Player is available now for US$ 69, in the following colours: Platinum, Black, Orange, Indigo.

The Gameboy Player is not compatible with Panasonic Q (for physical reasons, as the feet of the Q makes it impossible to fit the Gameboy Player in the expansion slot), and needs the Freeloader to boot with PAL GameCube and USA GameCube (tested successfully).
