Splinter Cell install error - "Component transfer error"

Hi. Finally got a new CD - (prevoious one had the insert CD "0" error) and now its giving me this error somewhere during the 2nd cd. My system is uptodate (MIS2.0, 9DirecX) i have tried emulating the CD's - same issue - come up with this error again. System is running smoothly - anyone has an idea of what this error is?? Corrupt file???

Did you try installing the original cd's ? When you say you 'Finally got a new cd', did you get a replacement original cd ? Or do you get those cd's from a less legit source ?

That wasn't what I was talking about. So you got a new cd. Is it an original ? If so, does it work ? We can only start solving the problem if you test the original cd, we have to determine if the problem exists with the original too.
