ps2 to cdr

hi i'm new to all this but i'm wanting to back up all my ps2 games nd would like to know everything that i need to get for my computer to do this. i have a hp pavilion 304w with a cd-writer iknow i'll need a dvd drive to read the games. i bought mega disk 2003 that has cdrwin on it but cant open it. i know i will need mod chip to play them i plan on getting the vr4 no solder. well i geuss what i'm asking is were to start cause i have no clue but i know you guys do. please help thank you snake77
