Someone tell me if I'm right...

I've been reading through the posts here regarding the Xenosaga DVD9 problem.

According to what some members imply, it seems that a PS 2 V7/Magic 2 package (SCPH 39002 PAL chipped with a Magic 2) is virtually unable to boot a Xenosaga DVD, be it original or burned (a one-in-ten success ratio might as well be nil).

The problem is, I happen to own this exact PS 2 modchip package.

Is there absolutely no way for me to run Xenosaga in my machine?

I don't think I'd be desperate enough to buy a whole new unchipped PS 2 just to play ONE game, or replace the Magic 2 modchip in my current machine (financial reasons )

Are there any other ways to boot the damn game? Please, any and all suggestions are much appreciated!
