help Street Fighter Alpha 3 once again

Ive tried everything i possibly can with this game

i tried applying the kal-rgb patch -didnt work because my copy isnt nonboot . and i have no way of acquiring a kal-sfa3.bin and cue . . i then happened across this place and there was this

01 EC 9D FF 04 8D 00 EE 03 88
01 EC 9D FF 04 8D 00 EE 02 88
and it worked for all

except me ii find thetope hex string and i replace the 3 with a 2

and viola . my game starts up - goes to the sega screen waits slightly longer than it should and reboots starts up-reboots .

Can anyone offer me any answers or help .
