question about burning a dvd-r to dvd-r

Hey, anyone try burning a dvd-r movie to a dvd-r? Is the quality the same? Using dvdxcopy! Wanted to know before I used one of my dvd-r's. IM running low. Also I saw someone post that meritline was cheaper than rima for Ritiks. Rima is the cheapest I've seen - .96 cents each for a 100 pack(rima). Anyone seen cheaper?
