48 x disks, nero and a btc writer

hi , i have a minor problem whit burning cd's , i have a btc 32/10/40 , i use nero and stomp , the problem is when i burn whit nero , the max speed i can set is 16 X while using 48 x cd's , i tryd the cd's on a mate's writer (plextor) and he can burn @ 48 x whitout troubles , when i use stomp , i can select a higher speed , buth the burning take's aslong as whit nero , anyone now what the prob could be ?? tryd another brand of cd's to , many other's , buth it's still the same

win 2k sp3
dma enabled

You might need a firmware upgrade. Also update Nero and RecordNow Max to the newest version available if they aren't already.

You still have a problem so I am not satisfied. What brands of media have you tried? Are they all just cheap generics or have you tried some name brands?

thx for helping , i tryd 4-5 diffrent brands , 2 of them where cheap one's , the others princo's , maxell and philips . Not sure but i think that are good one's , or is there another one i should try ??

Yeah one of those should have worked. Have you tried disabling dma?

yep , doesn't make a difference , weird mayby it's a hardware fault ?
