copying a copy

can u copy a copy of a game. about a year ago i copyed my game. but now the orignal it too scratched to make a sucessfull backup sop i was just woubndering if you can copy a copied game?

Yes, but it is somewhat common to get a bad burn. I would read and burn at 1x.

So it makes a difference what speed you read games, copies or originals regardless, while making the .gi files? Isn't it all just 1's or 0's?

I have done this with many ps2 games and they all play perfectly on my 3 and a half year old psx.

It makes a big difference depending on the condition of the original/copy you are reading from.....

If the disc you are backing up is in good shape, you can read on MAX speed as long as your dvd reader is up to the task....

If the disc is in bad shape (ie scratched etc) you are more likely to get read errors, so reading at a slower speed is important.....(and even this doesn't guarantee success)
