please help asap

ok i went in a resoldered my magic 3.6 and finally got the brower screen to come up but my laser still isnt spinning, when i turn the ps2 on i get the setup info (time , language and crap like that) and then when i put a game in every time it says disc read error tried restarting and the same process it keeps happening again, does anyone know what i have to do??

any help is appreciated

What version ps2 ?
What are you trying to boot ? CD-R ? DVD-R ? DVD+R ?

What brand media are you using ? And what are you using to make your back-ups ?

i have a v5 ps2 im installing a magic 3.6 universal at first i wasnt even getting a browser screen. i went back and resoldered and now i get the browser screen but my laser isnt reading when i pop a game in (any game orignal, backups, psx it doesnt even spin the game to read it) and its not saving my system config. i reset and still get the same screen....the psx logo..ps2 logo then select language, time all that crap

only ever hard of keep reseting language before,it was a bridged scex
