Fifa 2003

Hi, everyone.
I know this thread ain't new but I think my problem is. I purchased FIFA 2003 and want to make a copy of that game for myself. I used Nero Burning Rom 4.0.8.5 to burn the 1st cd and it worked fine. But Nero had problems with disc #2: The cd could not been read. So I tried just to copy all the files on it and made a new cd with that. All the data was on the new cd but it had 20 MB less on it than the original. So I read threads in this forum and downloaded CloneCD 4.0xx. With that program I was able to copy disc 2 (it has the same size as the original). I installed the game from the two burned discs. Still, I had to replace fifa2003.exe with that "no-cd-crack-file" to make the game run. But I just get all the menues - when I do want to play, the game crashes and I'm back on Win98. I can't get over that screen where I can choose my control options. I tried the installation with the original cds and everything worked fine. I de-installed and re-installed from the copies - crash. Do you have any comments on my problem? I hope I describes everything detailled enough.
