ricoh 7083a / safedisc 2

i have just purchased 7083a on the recommendation GCW list of compatable burners i tryed to install the 1.10 firmware with no success or will it be able to burn safedisc 2 with the 1.20 firmware which came with 7083a
the game i am trying to copy is operation flashpoint the backup will not install just locks up the system i used clonecd to copy game.

please help sorry if this is going over old ground
