BOT is on a distinguished road
Use CDRWin to backup PSX - install with the DEFAULT options.
Use the Menu Button that says - 'Extract Disc/Tracks/Sectors' default settings and make sure 'RAW' is ticked.
Select where you are going to save the image under 'Image Filename', keep the image name short and simple, eg ff8.bin
Find out if the game is protected at either ####://www.geocities.com/psxcplist/ or ####://www.cdrom-guide.com/ubb/Forum19/HTML/000903.html
Get the patches for YOUR version at ####://www.megagames.com/console/psx_patches.htm
Do NOT attempt to patch with the wrong version patch, it will fail.
Use ppf-o-matic (available at megagames - link already given) if you are not happy using DOS.
Just remember to keep the directory name where you are going to save your images simple - e.g. c:\psx and keep image names simple e.g. ff8.bin
Do not try and backup Sydney 2000, Spyro 3 or FF9 as ALL the patches for these games do not work - they can only be backed up using CloneCD and your hardware is not 100% CloneCD compatible.
Once you have created your image and applied the patch, if needed, you can burn.
Select the Menu Button that says 'Record Disc'
'Load Cuesheet' and press '####t Recording' button.
