hl-dt-st rw/dvd gcc 4240n drive

I've got a:hl-dt-st rw/dvd gcc 4240n drive

used clone cd can't control the read speed I set it to 2x reads at about 4x the higher you set the read speed the higher it reads but not at what you want.

So went to alcohol 120% same problem read speed cannot be controlled.

any ideas as what I should do?
