PS1 Patching Help
I purchased a used ps1 for my son and I want to copy games for him. I have beendoing some reading and I am using the cdrwin burn program as suggested and have saved the game to my hard drive. So how to I know what file I should use to "patch" the game so it will work on his system? Do I need this chip that I have read about? The game I am trying to patch is Harry Potter 's philosopher's stone. Be patient with this post I am new at this thanks

Check to see if your burner is fully supported i.e. RAW-DAO 96. And do a direct copy of the game that you mentioned, you don't have to patch it in order for it to work. http://www.elby.ch/english/products/...writers/a.html (3) CDrwin is used for creating 'BIN' file images which are needed by the patch program PPF-O-MATIC. This program allows you to patch your games with 'Trainers' e.g (Level selects, unlimited lives etc.) and NTSC2PAL selecters aswell. Also, you can patch your games to remove Anti-Mod Protection. This protection is added to a few PS1 titles, what happens is, is that the game will display a message saying that the software has been terminated due to the console being modified just shortly after boot-up.
