Installation Help

Thanx for the help.
But I have another problem.
When I try to install Red Alert 1 (the original CD that I borrowed from my friend so i could copy it) It sais that Red Alert is a windows 95 only product and (rather surprisingly since i am running Win XP) it says that I am running Win 5.1!!!
I have installed many other Win 95 only games so why is RA displaying this message?
And is there any way to bypass this problem?
Thanx
