Magic3 vs. Messiah2 ???????

I wonder what is the best solution at the moment for PS2... Magic3 or Messiah2? Is the 'transparent' mode of Messiah2 so useful? And also what is DVD9 that Messiah2 is compatible with?
Do the chips have any differentiations in loading the games, like the correct order of RESET and EJECT pressing on Magic3?

Go for a Messiah 2. People have been reporting problems with Magic 3s. DVD9 is a dual layered dvd which is what most dvd movies are on. There is only one DVD9 game out right now and that is Xenosaga but more will be coming in the near future. Games boot like a normal system would with the Messiah 2. Here are the Magic 3 and Messiah 2 boot procedures:
Magic 3
NOTE: This is with the disk assumed in the tray and the tray closed:

Playstation 2 Games

• Power up normally from STANDBY with RESET button. A single tap is required.

Playstation 1 games & DVD Movies

• Power up from STANDBY with RESET button held until the blue EJECT light comes on; then release RESET and the disk will boot.

NOTE: Turn off the PS2 (to standby) before changing Mode (PS1/PS2/DVD)

Messiah 2
ALL games (PS1, PS2, Backups or Originals)

•Insert into tray.
•Close tray.
•Everything will boot.

i just dont find anything BIG in favor of messiah2... i just think that like anything brand new, it just attracts ppl...

if im wrong, and you have facts to prove it, please DO so cause i really need to make up my mind about what to buy (me and my cousin bought two PS2 a month ago and we are looking forward to chipping them!!!!!)

where can i find a list of messiah2 features vs magic3 features? BUT the real ones, no lies... (for instance i found that DVD9 is supported by both, which you deny.. also i found that game loading is identical for both, which you also deny)

Game loading is NOT identical to both....

The boot procedures Bighap listed came from the Magic website and the Messiah 2 website....

People here are just giving you their opinions on which to get.... If you want the Magic 3 then get it.....

BUT, I personally would rather have the Messiah 2.....

l'd personally go with the Messiah 2 Pro, l've been comparing the two chips for awhile, and through what l've read, l've never seen any probs reported with the Messiah.
l just ordered the Messiah 2 Pro of of Charlie last week.
So go with your gut, and l wish you the best.

Im almost convinced that the messiah2 is a liiiil better than magic3. and this is not for the dvd9 feature, nor for the turning off feature.. and not either for the no-tapping feature (if its true actually). all these seem to me like fireworks to attract ppl..

but what made me go in favor of the messiah2 was the conversation with a guy yesterday who used technical facts to stand for the messiah2.. well he told me that messiah2 consumes 3.45volt while magic uses 5 volt. this difference in currency is capable to destroy (at least more easily) the laser lense of the ps2..

so supposing that i've made my mind for the chip (messiah2), i want your opinion now guys: what is the best, i mean the MOST EASY version of ps2 to install the chip? i've already destroyed my previous PS2 v3 while trying to install the old messiah, and i want to buy a version of PS2 that uses a large number of alternative points to connect the chip.. if possible, i wouldnt like not even a single point on a 'foot' of a chip...

They are all difficult. If you screwed up you old PS2 why would you even want to take the risk of trying it again I would get somebody who has past experience to install it for you.
