DVD X Copy

Gearing up to "back up" my PS2 games. My messiah 2 is at the post office. I see some are using RecordNowMax as their software of choice but saw a program called DVD X Copy as being able to make an exact duplicate of DVDs. Is this program any better, worse or on equal par to the RecordNow Max program?
