No videos in Tribunal No-Cd patch

Hi all !
First i would like to say i am a new member , and i am pleased to join this EXCELLENT forum !
Now , about the problem i have :
i installed morrowind , then installed tribunal , after that the game runs fine apart from cd- checks which means i can play only with the morrowind disc inside the drive.
So i installed the no-cd from GimpsRUs , and now i can play without the cd ! .. it's just that the movies from morrowind don't load anymore :-( .
In the past , in an earlier version , when i installed the 1.2 patch for morrowind , the no-cd could load the videos , without the need for the cd - you had to copy the \videos\ (or something like that ) subdirectory ( with all it's contents ) to the installed morrowind directory, and the game would load the vids straight from your hard - drive.
Now it doesn't .. any ideas?

I think the gimpsRus patch was hardcoded to play without the movie files. When they make these nocd's crackers have to choose whether they patch them to play without the cd at all, or whether the game still needs the video files copied to the hard disk. If you want the movies, it may be better to make an image of the Tribunal cd (I don't think it's copy protected) and mount that using daemon tools. That way you'll have the movies too and don't need the cd in the drive. The alternative is waiting for a crack that allows you to see the movies too. For the original Morrowind, both kinds of crack were available, but I don't know whether this will be the case for Tribunal.

Anyway , is there a way to contact gimpsrus , and ask for this feautre?

Not that I know of, I don't think there's really a public way of reaching gimpsRus.

Hi,

I've been searching for the no-cd tribunal crack. Sounds like you have found it. Would it be possible for you to send it to me or point me to a site where i might find it? I've been checking GCW but no luck yet. I was also doing google searches on "GimpsRUs" and am still having trouble finding it. Your help would be greatly appreciated!

When you look for a crack, it's best to look for the name of the game, and certainly try for more than "gimpsRus". Have you tried searching for "Tribunal" or "Morrowind" ? Both give you the thread you seek. Here's the thread, look at the last messages.
