DIABLO2 have serial do not have cd

I have copies (not sure what I used to make copies) of all D2 discs including LOD; Install went fine. When I try to play D2 or install LOD it asks for play disc but will not recognize my copy "please insert play disc". I thought maybe convince my comp that my friends cdrom (far away) is a local drive. any ideas?
