copying cd's

wonder if you can help.
I have bought a computer never copied before but wish to back up my games,the problem is i only have one drive cd,cdr,dvd, combined although i have copied games i neeed to put a crack over them after i have loaded the copy.
how can i copy my games after i have put a crack over them please help... i have windows xp..

Well, it's quite easy when you master....btw, "a 1000 miles trip begins with one step also", so...don't worry....first, I suggest you to download CloneCD and Clony (gives you the settings to copy games, i.e. reading and writing options), if you haven't done it already...then make an image from your driver and save it in a temporary folder (you cannot copy "on the fly", 'cause of the fact that you have one drive only); after that, from CloneCD prog, choose "write an image file" and set the parameters asked to burn from Clony and tick the option "Amplify Weak sectors and burnproof", if your burner supports it...then start the burning process. After you have yourt copy, try to install the game from it...if it works, you don't need any crack or patch...if it doesn't, then install the game fromn the original cd, then apply the patch that you need to making the game to work.
