Thumbs up Yamaha F1: Rocks

Hey all

I just got the Yamaha F1 writer and man, what a nice piece of kit!

It's hella fast and can pretty much blow thru anything I throw at it. Safedisk, Safedisk 2, you name it. Does it all. I have tried copying all my disks and nothing has given me problems.

The speed is amazing. Can do a copy in about 6 min.

Have not had one bad burn yet! The 8 meg buffer is very sweet.

The 2 other nice things this drive does it WRITE on the disk. I mean letters or graphics. Quiet a cool way to label my disks. It shows up better on blue tinted disks but it works. Writes them on the bottom of the disk btw, not the top as some people have said.

The Audio mastering is the main reason I got it. It can make a music CD that will play in ANY CD player. Yep, even those older CD players or even a PS2! Very nice for anyone who makes DEMO CD's or needs to send out CD's to a lot of people.

If you looking to change your writer, look into it. It's cheap too, about 140$

Cheers

Jebus

other than 'cheap', thats a very accurate description. and now with the upgraded firmware, its almost fully functional, rather than going from 12x to 44x, or whatever it was before the update
