US Spec PS2

I have recently moved back to the UK and have brought a US spec PS2 with me. Unfortunately, I cannot get this to work very well, even though I have a multi-system TV (PAL/NTSC etc) and have brought a voltage converter (240v -> 120v), I think the problem may be with the power supply i.e. 50hz/60hz.

Does anyone know how to solve my problem? I'm sure there's a way!

Thanks for your help.

As my sig says, I have a US PS2 and a voltage convertor. The convertor will tell you if it puts out 60Hz or not. It should do - I know of no countries with 120V 50Hz.

So read the plate on your convertor and let us know.

What do you mean by "very well"? What actually happens?

Details please
