Soldier Of Fortune 2: display problems

I have installed SOF 2 on my pc. I am running win98 SE. I have a geforce 256 graphics card and a 750 athlon chip. The game installed correctly and runs fine. The problem is the background scenery. Buildings and backgrounds display as grids. The people/ vehicles etc are all fine. I have installed the latest graphics driver and tried to alter the settings in the game. Anyone else had this problem?
Thanks Mick

Read the game manual and/or ask the shop where you bought the game. This forum does _not_ deal with technical support for games.

The first step to solve these kind of problems, is installing the latest video drivers from your video card manufacturer (nVidea/ATI). The second step (if you still have problems), is this forum . Should you have problems making a backup of the original cd, you can come back here for more advice.

One way to fix the problem is BUY THE GAME, as I have the orginal cd, i have no problems, a friend of mine decided to download the game and he has the same problems as above, it's a texture problem, after hours of trying to figure it out, we found that the file texture 01 ( i think that's it ) is screwed up, it's the biggest texture file, something like 400 megs or something. The other ppl I talked to who had this problem also had a downloaded copy.. BYE THE GAME. If you did bye the game and still have a problem call the support guys for the game, see what they have to say.
