Unhappy Help Me Please....

I posted a message and got not responce about my problems....
I wanted to know why sometimes my game shark works and why sometimes it doesnt?
Can you copy game shark and it be useable?
Why can I hear my playstation trying to read discs now?
Why does my playstation sometimes drop the game on the tray while it is still spinning?

Now the new question...

Can I burn DVD movies and they play on my playstation? Is there a certain way that you have to load them like you do with PS1 games?

Any help is appreciated and thank you again for responding....

Could be a dirty disk or bad gameshark, it happens, or possibly your lens is wearing out.

No, Gameshark CD's are pressed, they have and unreadable track that can't be copied.

As stated before, your system could be wearing out and on it's last legs, when I drive is getting old it tends to start getting louder. If it's still a realitivily new Playstation could be just a bad drive.

You got me on this one? A playstation has a lid and you put the disk in the drive and close the lid by hand so how can it be spinning unless your trying to put in the disk while it's spinning. When the lid is up the sensor tells the PS to stop the drive, if yours is still spinning the lid sensor is indicating to the system that the lids still down, you'd have a bad lid sensor.

No, DVD and CD are too totally different formats, you can't play a DVD in a Playstation, it doesn't have a DVD drive, the PS2 has a DVD drive but will only play original DVD's unless you have a mod-chip.

Thank you so much for the responce. I appreciate it.

I have the PS2 style playstation. That is why the cd drops spinning in the tray. I don't know why it does it but is does it from time to time.

The game shark likes to lock up while loading. My playstation is fairly new and this sucks to think that it could be a bad drive.

I have the no soder mod chip so does that mean I could play burned DVD's?

Once again, thanks for taking the time out to help me.

You should try posting this in the PS2 forum, this is the playstation forum that's why I was confused. I think the mod-chips for PS2 just allow multi-region, I don't know if it will allow burned DVD's, I know the PS2 won't allow burned VCD's so I would assume that a burned DVD would fall into the same category but as stated I could be wrong since I don't have a mod-chip on my PS2.

The mod-chip could be whats casuing all your problems, it might not be designed for your specific PS2, it might be out of sync, that's why the disk would be spinning early. I would contact the place you purchased your chip from and see what they say. The Mod-chip would also screw up the gameshark.

If you look on the back of your PS2 you'll see a number, mines a model SCPH - 30001 R if I was getting a mod-chip I'd make sure the person I was buying from knew the model of system I had to get the correct mod-chip. Sony is always changing there systems and the newer the model the fewer the parts so the mod-chip would need to be adjusted.
