DVD-R Media

Do any of you have any preferences when it comes to dvd-r media? Do the cheap ones work as well as the more pricey ones?

There are a few people here that use Princo DVD-R's and have had no problems.... Depending on how strong your laser is will decide on if you can use cheap ones or not.... The reflectivity of cheaper DVD-R's is not as high as better quality ones... If your laser if strong it may read cheaper ones.... If its not very strong, it may not even read high quality ones.....

I use verbatim datalife cdr's and verbatim datalife dvd-r's, both work superb, never get coasters and NEVER heard anyone badmouth them.

cost a bit more, but in long run cheaper cos you dont make coasters, you cant compromise with cheap crap, also the chaepies will make your laser work harder due to reflectivity being lower standard, and eventually wear it out.

£1 = approx $2.8 Aussie dollars.

or $1 = approx 36p

I pay $1 each for verbatim cd

I pay $10 each for verbatim dvd-r

Hope this helps

Ron
