GBA game sizes (and Flash Linker)

Everyone knows about the Flash Advance Linker, right?

Well, as of now the latest flash card size is 512m, with a 1,000m card in the works.

My question is this;

What is the largest size that a GBA game can be?

I remember reading somewhere that 256m is the largest that games can ever be made. This means people with 128m will eventually need a larger card once they start making 256m games.
