Mixed-Mode CD-Image

hello guys this is problably a stupid question but i dont know what a mixed-mode CD-image or how to make 1, i need it becuase at gamecopyworld under the HL : opposing force UK CD copy. could sum1 tell me wot the multi mode thing is and how to make 1.
