Please Help

While on my quest to improve my CD RW software for a Phillips CDRW200 (Don't all laugh) I have managed to inform my sytem that its a scsi drive ( which it is not) and I have tried uninstalling totaly removing and starting again. But with no success. Please help me I'm guessing that I have left somthing in my sys ini files but dont know enough about them to fix it or find it. I do know how to use the Edit function if that helps.

I know the drive is ok as I have managed to install it into my m8's system without any problems.
I have also tried reinstalling my OS and have also now upgraded to XP (Don't laugh again) But these have not helped.
Dont tell me to do a fresh install, this is not an option.
