Best Dvd player for Buring

Does anyone know if there is a dvd burning rating guide out there some where,perhaps on this site?
Or can anyone recommend a good dvd for burning?

The only source I can think of at the moment is the CloneCD help file - it recommends:

Virtually all TOSHIBA CD-ROMs/DVD drives are damn fine for reading discs.

Will try and find out more..
