modchip and problem

Do anyone know the name of the modchip I need for my playstation 2 to play burned games. I bought it in california USA. and why I can not burn grand theft auto 3 and smackdown with cdrwin3.d. What other burner will burn these two games and the right settings for the burner you refer. My settings in cdrwin3.d are the following.
extract mode = disk image/ cue sheet
read option= raw
error recvery= abort
jitter= auto
subcode analysis=auto
data and audio speed the same
read retry count= 0
subcode threshold= 300
