Exactly what...

Exactly what is a ISO. Is it the full game with no alterations? So if the original game had a auto-start, the ISO version you burned would have a auto-start?
Or are the just the files you burn to disk, then install on your computer, followed by a crack?

Can you test burn a ISO too a CD-RW to see if the ISO works?
How can I tell if my ISO would work?
