Talking R1 plus O then X question

Hi all..

Not really a newbie. Have been copying PS2 games for fifteen years now.....Oops...Ok...I'm kinda of a newbie...I just got my PS2 modded by a buddy of mine in the area and it's the little box that plugs in the USB. I also bought the Gameshark 2. Let me see if I have this right. Most of the games work like this:

Insert GS2 and boot. Then press Start Game ( The first one)
Then Without Codes. Eject game and insert backed up copy.
Then press X.. Most of my games work like this. Then there is another.

Same...Same..Same...Same.. After putting backed up game in, I QUICKLY press R1+O and then do sequence again...Start Game...Without Codes... Then press X. I am assuming you have to be perfect because I can only get it to work sometimes. Virtua Fighter 4 works great all the time, so thats ok. BUT... GT3 Concepts...Dead or alive 2 and a couple others are touchy... Just looking for some more advice.. I don't really have anymore infor except that my PS2 is a series 2 or higher. I get by most of the time, but just need some more tips.. I appreciate any help someone can give me. Please email me directly at [email protected]. But if you prefer you can just reply here. I will eventually get it.. Thanx a lot
