Begginer needs help!!!

Hi
I am a total newbie with backing up ps2 games please help.
I get the Jist of backing the games up, but will i be able to do it with only a cdrw? I heard you need a dvdr.

You will be just fine with a cdrw.

What you need to do to copy games is....

If the original is on a cdr, copy it with cdrwin, clonecd or nero burning rom. demos of all can be downloaded on the net.

If the original is on a dvd. You need to perform a Dvd-Rip
Basically this is taking out files from the game to make it small enough to fit on a cdr. The bad thing about this is you miss out on movies and music on some games.
To do a DVD-Rip choose the game you want to copy then search one of these sites for a guide.

Booting the games.

Using Action Replay 2 and Neo 2.2 Mod Chip For CDR and DVD-Rip

Boot system with ar2 disc 1, and keep hold of reset. When menu loads release reset and tray opens. you have four seconds, to switch AR2 and your copy. Goto strart game, without codes and press X.

Using DVD Region-X and Neo 2.2 For CDR and DVD-Rip
Boot region X When CD stops spinning change for copy, press start.

Using Messiah or clone
Put copy in!

Copied DVD-R
Boot system with ar2 disc 1, and keep hold of reset. When menu loads press eject and put in original DVD (keep hold of reset) Goto strart game, without codes release reset and tray opens. you have four seconds, to switch original DVD for copy. Press X game boots.
