Creative 48X mx Rom - help

Its started to play up and not read all of my CD's, but I need it to read RAW with CloneCD as my writer (Acer 4432A) seems to only burn Raw,Can I Clean it or do something to service it.

or which other Rom should I buy to use with CloneCD
