HP 8200e and CDRwin

I'm having trouble backing up a disk using an HP 8200e and CDRwin 3.8a. When copying, it does not write out the 'leadin track' like my older HP 7200i. I even tried my friends HP 8200e, his does the same thing. Tired different computers as well. Is there a known compatibility problem with these. Tried sleazy CD creater which came with the burner and it copies fine. I've been using CDRwin for over 2 years with my HP 7200i and never made a coaster. With this 8200 I've made 2 coasters now. Any ideas? Thanks!
