Blank cda Files Recorded

Can anyone solve my problem. While i can create audio CD's with my HP CDwriter plus 8200i, The software (both nero and CD creator) create the disc from wav files, each cda file is correct but no sound in the files. I Converted the files back to WAV's and imprted them into Soundforge, only to find the Wav files blank?. This problem has only just started, I have created successful CD's before with same hardware/Software.Any help please
