GHOST RECON, PLEASE HELP

hey, i just got ghost recon not to long ago, and my disc will not work, even the ubisoft guys have no clue what is causing the problem. but thats not a big deal, cause i downloaded the no cd patch off of here and it'll work, but on certain missions like every 2 to 5 minutes of play time the game will just cause my computer to completely shut down and restart for no reason, i have windows ME, geforce 2 64mb ultra, and dell dimension 4100 1 ghz. i could use as much help and suggestions as i can get, thanks----------TOM
