Need a help with Red Faction!!!

I tried to make a backup with Plextor 16x and cloneCD and it didn't work. Problem is that my Plextor doesn't read (write also???) subchannel info and that's why backup is not successfull (or at least that's what i suspect...). Is there a workaround solution how to overcome this prob? Protection is ProtectCD VOB in the Red Faction (CD check, dummy files, illegal TOC, maybe something else).
